The Siemens 6SN1145-1BA02-0CA1 is an infeed/regenerative feedback module used to connect the drive group to the line supply, as well as input power into the DC link. The I/R, UI, and monitoring module together are also used to prove the electrical power supply for the connected modules. The infeed module does not have any type of overload protection, so overload protection must be provided by the configuration and correct setting of the control boards. Switch S1 is provided on the upper part of the NE and monitoring module that can be used to set various functions. For I/R modules, the sinusoidal current mode is the initial setting. With certain filters, the mode must be changed to squarewave current mode in order to prevent the filter from thermal overload. Remember: before powering up or down the main switch or line contactor, terminal 63 (pulse enabler) and/or terminal 48, which is the start and contactor terminals, must be de-energized.

When connected to line supplies that could have voltage fluctuations below the rated voltages, the infeed module should be overdimensioned correspondingly, otherwise it can lead to failures or defects. With line shifts, when the converter is operating at a partial load, a capacitive phase shift can occur. Since companies’ line supplies general have an inductive phase shift, this capacitive component has a compensating effect on the supply line. Switches S1.1 and S1.4 are used to adapt the line infeed module to the current line supply conditions. The effective maximum permissible line infeed load must be calculated over a load period/cycle, and this must be used to set the ratio for the rated power of the module. Before any commissioning or service work is performed on the module, ensure that the DC link is safely disconnected from the power supply. If there is a pulse resistor in the system, the DC link can be quickly discharged via terminals in order to reduce the discharge time.
